Journal Article 2020 06 14 In the field of fiction, Gothic refers method of writing stories in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, which includes themes such as fear, death, eerie spaces, the dominance of patriarchal ideas, violence against women, neurotic characters and frightening places as such topics form its most prominent axes. This style of writing appeared for the first time in 1764 when "The Castle of Otranto" was written by "Horace Walpole". Later, other writers expanded this story-writing method by authoring literary works. Storytellers in the field of Persian fiction also turned to this literary style in search of influence from Western schools. For the first time, Sadegh Hedayat took a step in this way with the writing of the book “Buf-e Kor” (Blind Owl); thus, other writers followed this method and this type of literature progressed in Persian fiction works. Although the Gothic elements in Iranian fiction are not completely consistent with its western examples, it can be claimed that Persian fiction works have succeeded in this field and added elements are observed in a number of cases. Houshang Golshiri's novel Shazdeh Ehtjab is one of the novels written in the Gothic literary genre and the components of this literary genre can be examined in it. The method of the current research is based on content analysis and the collection of information has been performed by the library method. The results of the present research display that Golshiri, with proper atmosphere and appropriate use of the two elements of time and place, as well as portraying characters whose actions and behavior added to the terrifying and eerie atmosphere of the story and expressed illusions, violence and lethality in the story, have introduced his work as a Gothic novel.<br /><strong>Research aims:</strong><br /><br />Recognizing Gothic style in Persian literature.<br />Investigation of Gothic in the novel and play of Hoshang Golshiri's Shazdeh Ehtjab.<br /><br /><strong>Research questions:</strong><br /><br />What is the place of Gothic style in Persian literature?<br />What is the reflection of Gothic in the novel and the play of Shazdeh Ehtjab? در حوزه‌ی ادبیات داستانی، گوتیک به شیوه‌ای از داستان‌نویسی در اواخر قرن هجدهم و اوایل قرن نوزدهم میلادی اطلاق می‌شود که موضوعاتی چون ترس و وحشت، مرگ، فضاهای وهم‌آلود، غلبه‌ی اندیشه‌های مردسالارانه، زورگویی نسبت به زنان، شخصیّت‌های روان‌رنجور، مکان‌های ترسناک و ... برجسته‌ترین محورهای آن را تشکیل می‌دهند. این شیوه از نویسندگی برای نخستین­بار در سال 1764 با نگارش قلعه‌ی اوترانتو از سوی «هوراس والپول» ظهور کرد. بعدها نویسندگان دیگر با نگارش آثاری به بسط و گسترش این شیوه‌ی داستان‌نویسی پرداختند. داستان‌نویسان در حوزه‌ی ادبیات داستانی فارسی نیز به دنبال تأثیرپذیری از مکاتب غربی، به این شیوه‌ی ادبی گرایش یافتند. صادق هدایت برای نخستین­بار با نگارش بوف کور در این راه قدم نهاد و نویسندگان دیگر نیز به دنبال آن به بسط و گسترش این نوع ادبی در آثار داستانی فارسی پرداختند. اگر چه مؤلفه‌های گوتیک در ادبیات داستانی ایران، کاملاً با نمونه‌های غربی آن منطبق نیست، امّا می‌توان این ادّعا را داشت که آثار داستانی فارسی در این حوزه توانسته‌اند موفق عمل کنند و حتّی در پاره‌ای موارد مؤلّفه‌هایی را نیز بر آن بیفزاید. رمان شازده احتجاب از هوشنگ گلشیری، از جمله رمان‌هایی است که در نوع ادبی گوتیک به رشته‌ی تحریر درآمده و مؤلفه‌های این نوع ادبی در آن قابل بررسی است. روش پژوهش حاضر مبتنی بر تحلیل محتواست و جمع‌آوری اطلاعات به روش کتاب­خانه‌ای صورت گرفته است. نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان می‌دهد که گلشیری با فضسازی مناسب و بهره‌گیری مناسب از دو عنصر زمان و مکان و نیز به تصویر کشیدن شخصیّت‌هایی که اعمال و رفتار آنان بر فضای وحشت­انگیز و وهم­آور داستان افزوده و بیان توهمات و خشونت و مرگ آوری در داستان، اثر خود را به عنوان رمانی گوتیک به همگان معرّفی کرده است. <br /><br /><strong>اهداف پژوهش:</strong><br />1. بازشناسی سبک گوتیک در ادبیات فارسی.<br />2. بررسی گوتیک در رمان و نمایش شازده احتجاب هوشنگ گلشیری.<br /><br /><strong>سؤالات پژوهش:</strong><br />1. سبک گوتیک چه جایگاهی در ادبیات فارسی دارد؟<br />2. گوتیک در رمان و نمایش شازده احتجاب چه بازتابی یافته است؟ https://www.sysislamicartjournal.ir/article_127387_f8e533347b0b2ac127391faaaae71357.pdf
