These inscriptions, through the selection of Quranic verses, their placement, textual sequence, and their relationship with other physical elements, function as a spatial text and enable multi-layered interpretative and narrative readings. The present research aims to examine the interpretative and narrative capacities of the inscriptions of the mihrab of the Jameh Mosque of Kerman, and seeks to explain the role of these inscriptions in shaping meaning and guiding the sacred experience of the audience. The research method is qualitative, based on an interpretive and historical approach. Data have been collected through documentary studies, field observations of the mihrab space, and interpretive analysis of Quranic verses. The findings indicate that the purposeful arrangement of verses, the meaningful sequence of texts, and the spatial positioning of the inscriptions in the mihrab of the Jameh Mosque of Kerman provide the context for the formation of a continuous semantic narrative that represents fundamental concepts such as prophethood, Imamate, and divine guidance within a coherent framework. Accordingly, the mihrab of the Jameh Mosque of Kerman can be considered as a platform for spatial narration and sacred signification in Islamic architecture. Research Objectives: Moving beyond a merely formal perspective and addressing the semantic and narrative layers of religious architecture. Analyzing the manner of conveying sacred concepts within the physical structure of the Jameh Mosque of Kerman. Research Questions: What is the narrative and interpretive function of the inscriptions in the spatial structure of the Jameh Mosque of Kerman? What narrative and concept do the inscriptions of this mihrab convey? کتیبه‌های مساجد به‌ویژه در فضای محراب صرفاً عناصر تزئینی یا آرایه‌های بصری محسوب نمی‌شوند بلکه واجد ساختاری معناشناختی و نمادین هستند که در پیوندی عمیق با سازمان فضایی، کارکرد آیینی و تجربه‌ی ادراکی مخاطب معنا می‌یابند. این کتیبه‌ها با انتخاب آیات قرآنی، نحوه‌ استقرار، توالی متنی و ارتباط با سایر عناصر کالبدی به‌مثابه متنی فضایی عمل کرده و امکان خوانش چندلایه تأویلی و روایت‌محور را فراهم می‌سازند. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی ظرفیت‌های تأویلی و روایت‌گرایانه‌ی کتیبه‌های محراب مسجد جامع کرمان انجام شده و در پی آن است تا نقش این کتیبه‌ها را در شکل‌دهی به معنا و هدایت تجربه‌ قدسی مخاطب تبیین کند. روش تحقیق در این پژوهش کیفی و مبتنی بر رویکرد تفسیری و تاریخی است. داده‌ها از طریق مطالعات اسنادی، مشاهدات میدانی از فضای محراب و تحلیل تفسیری آیات قرآنی گردآوری شده‌اند. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که چینش هدفمند آیات، توالی معنادار متون و جایگاه فضایی کتیبه‌ها در محراب مسجد جامع کرمان زمینه‌ شکل‌گیری نوعی روایت معنایی پیوسته را فراهم می‌آورد که مفاهیم بنیادینی چون نبوت، امامت و هدایت الهی را در قالب ساختاری منسجم بازنمایی می‌کند. بر این اساس می‌توان محراب مسجد جامع کرمان را به‌عنوان بستری برای روایت‌گری فضایی و معناپردازی قدسی در معماری اسلامی دانست. اهداف پژوهش: 1. عبور از نگاه صرفاً صوری و پرداختن به لایه‌های معنایی و روایی معماری مذهبی 2. واکاوی نحوه انتقال مفاهیم قدسی در کالبد مسجد جامع کرمان سوالات پژوهش: 1. کارکرد روایی و تفسیری کتیبه‌ها در ساختار فضایی مسجد جامع کرمان چگونه است؟ 2. کتیبه‌های این محراب چه روایت و مفهومی را در بردارند؟
