The story that is one of the most significant stories in Islamic culture focuses on many social behaviors and has always been one of the most significant social events. Different scenes of the story is also portrayed in different schools of painting. The story of Yusef and Zulaikha because of its many moral and ethical features has been depicted greatly compared to the other stories of this prophet. The painting of “the flee of Yusuf from Zulaikha” by Behzad is one of the most significant artworks in the history of Persian art. In this paper, the theological aspects of this event from the viewpoint of the Holy Quran, religious texts and also the religious literature of Jami, the famous Persian poet of the fifth/ninth century all indicate the aesthetical perspective of this painting and its affiliation with religious interpretations. The conclusion of this study reflects the fact that the painter of this work of art was influenced by religious theology and the paintings is illustrated based on these mentioned traits. The paper follows a historical and analytical methodology and data is collected via library and documentation research. در بین قصص قرآنی، داستان حضرت یوسف (ع) و زلیخا از رهگذر قرآنی و بویژه تفاسیر قرآنی، در نظم و نثر فارسی و عربی، مورد توجه شاعران و نویسندگان قرار گرفته است. در این قصه که به موارد بیشماری از رفتارهای اجتماعی اشاره شده، همواره یکی از رایج ترین داستان‌ها بوده و در فرهنگ اسلامی یکی از محوری‌‌ترین حکایات به شمار می‌آید. بخش‌های مختلف این داستان نیز بارها توسط نگارگران در مکاتب گوناگون نگارگری به تصویر در آمده است که ماجرای یوسف و زلیخا که حاوی نکات حکمت آمیز و اخلاقی و اجتماعی است، بیشتر از سایر بخش‌های دیگر داستان در آثار نگارگران دیده می‌شود و در میان آنها نگاره «گریز حضرت یوسف (ع) از زلیخا» اثر بهزاد، به عنوان یک اثر شاخص و برجسته در تاریخ نگارگری بشمار می‌رود. در این مقاله وجوه عرفانی این واقعه، از منظر قرآن و متون مذهبی از جمله تفاسیر دینی و عرفانی و همچنین ادبیات عرفانی جامی، شاعر و عارف نامی سده پانزدهم/ نهم با تأکید بر زیبایی شناسی این نگاره و تطبیق آن با تفاسیر دینی و تأثیرگذاری ادبیات عرفانی بر آن مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته است. در ادامه به بررسی چند اثر دیگر با این موضوع، به اجمال پرداخته شده است. نتیجه ای که از این مقاله مستفاد می‌گردد، این است که تصویرگر این نگاره، متأثر از اندیشه‌های یک مشرب عرفانی بوده و این نگاره را بر اساس همین اندیشه‌ها و نیز تفاسیر عرفانی سوره مذکور تصویرگری کرده است. شیوه تحقیق در این مقاله بصورت تاریخی و تحلیلی- توصیفی و به روش اسنادی- کتابخانه ای انجام شده است.
