In the architecture of a mosque, focusing on spiritual and divine matters and converging on geometrical and mathematical creates a philosophical and theoretical outlook that is unique of its kind. In Islamic art, agreement with the spirit of Islam that of monotheism is the most significant decorative architectural aspect of mosque architecture. In the relation between form and meaning there are mutual understandings; this mutual agreement is nothing more than assimilating to the holy morality of God that seeks for divine perpetuity. This eternity is rooted in the essence of the philosophy of God and mankind. In other words, a mosque is place where diverse arts meet and a sacred and divine affiliation is created through the bond between God and mankind.   هدف معماری در هنر دینی به‌ویژه در جهان‌بینی اسلام، شفاف‌سازی مرز بین ماده و ذهن، جسم و جان است. در معماری مسجد از یک سو نگاه عارفانه و شهودی هنرمند مسلمان با تأسی به مبانی قرآنی و مبتنی بر هندسه و ریاضیات و از سوی دیگر، نگاه فقهی و کلامی او آثاری ارزشمند پدید آورده است. در هنر اسلامی، سازگاری با روح اسلام یعنی توحید، شاخص‌ترین رویکرد و ویژگی به شمار می‌رود که در معماری مسجد می‌توان آن را یافت. در نظام ارتباط معنا و شکل وجه مشترکی وجود دارد که هدف این پژوهش قرار گرفته است؛ وجه مشترکی که چیزی جز تشبه به اخلاق الهی نیست و بی‌کرانگی را طلب می‌کند. این بی‌نهایت از معرفتی حاصل می‌شود، مبتنی بر اندیشه در ذات حضرت حق و انسان. درواقع مسجد مجموعه‌ای از هنرهای گوناگون است که فضا و مکانی قدسی برای برقراری رابطه میان خداوند و خلق پدید می آورد.
