Abstract
Epistemology has been defined as the explanation of the foundations of affirmations, in the sense that a link can be established between beliefs and facts. This is also achieved when the foundations of perception, the definition of truth, and the ways of receiving it are analyzed; knowledge in its general sense is different for each intellectual system under the intellectual foundations of that school, and these differences have many effects on the epistemology of art and specifically architecture, which is the subject of the present research. Regarding the necessity and importance of the present research; the necessity of explaining the foundations of epistemology; one of the most important schools of wisdom here is Sadra'i wisdom, which has been the origin of the theoretical foundations of our traditional art and architecture in a significant period. Also, it is important to note that the methodology of our architectural studies is under the epistemology of Western schools, which is one of the gaps in the theoretical foundations of contemporary architecture. Explaining the concepts and epistemological foundations of authentic Iranian-Islamic architecture influenced by the foundations of transcendental wisdom is the general problem and scrutinizing the strategies for realizing these foundations of the problem and specific goal of the research ahead. The research ahead is a qualitative research of a theoretical-wise nature with a fundamental goal with an interpretative-explanatory approach in terms of data judgment and with a content-library method in terms of data collection.
