Abstract

One of the important issues in the discussion of mysticism is the study of mystical authorities and the description of their various degrees, which have been repeatedly considered by mystics, and each of them has expressed their views and perceptions about them. In the present study, the main focus of the work is to study the mystical approach of Imam Khomeini and Imam Mohammad Ghazali in relation to mystical authorities based on the three positions of repentance, rejection and trust. The present study has been written with a descriptive-analytical approach and citing library sources, especially sources related to the views of Imam Khomeini and Imam Mohammad Ghazali, and the most important results are that these two personalities are mystics.And the elders, despite agreeing on some issues, have sometimes expressed different views, so much so that sometimes Imam Khomeini has also criticized the views of Imam Mohammad Ghazali. Also, Imam Khomeini has expressed the ranks of each of the above-mentioned officials and has defined and explained them with great reflection and accuracy, while Imam Mohammad Ghazali has tried to give a general description of these officials. It seems that due to the long time interval between the life of Imam Khomeini and Imam Mohammad Ghazali and also due to the continuation and development of mystical approaches by other mystics and the benefit and development of perspective. Under the influence of Imam Khomeini's mystical teachings, he was able to offer a more comprehensive view of these mystical authorities than mystics before him.

Research aims:
1. Analyzing mystical aesthetics in the works of Imam Mohammad Ghazali and Imam Khomeini (RA);
2. Investigating the visual and conceptual characteristics of mysticism in the images of the Prophet (PBUH).
