Abstract

Although eskandar had an unpopular and hated personality in Iran before Islam, but in the Islamic era, due to the confusion of his personality with the Dhu al-Qarnayn mentioned in the Qur'an, he has a positive and praiseworthy face among many Muslim writers and has a prophetic face; Eskandar the Great was formed on this basis. But Nezami, in addition to presenting an ideal and praiseworthy figure ofeskandar , introduces him as a hero of civilization; A hero whose various wars and travels, both as a king and as a prophet, are for the preservation and expansion of civilization. In this research, an attempt has been made to examine the manifestation of this aspect of eskandar personality in the military honor letter and Iqbalnameh, and to recount its numerous examples, taking into account its differences with other texts. Therefore, the various wars that eskandar waged, his main motives and goals in these wars, its causes and consequences, as well as the changes and developments that take place in different lands, are some of the cases. Which we will address.
