Abstract

Studying history helps us to know people and society better, history provides us with a source of information about the behavior of kings and people of different ages. By studying history, we can use the experiences of the past for the growth and innovation of our society. Consider two effects.
This research, which is theoretical, analyzes the study area, scope and society of the Sassanid period in terms of foreign policy and religious orientation in Shahnameh and the promoter of religion.
The narration and the way of expressing the promoter of gold and Shahnameh about the foreign policy and religious orientation of the Sassanid period are different from each other. We have a lot of brevity in the promotion of gold, except for some kings, which is briefly enough; However, Shahnameh has become obsolete in its description of events due to its narrative-historical features.
Ferdowsi has mentioned many anecdotes about some of the kings of this period, which are mentioned in books such as the biography of Ardeshir Babakan and the history of Tabari, and their narrative aspect is more. The promoter of gold has dealt with kings who are more famous in foreign policy, but Ferdowsi has dealt more with kings who have more stories. The similarities between the two books during the reign of the Sassanid kings and their names are often similar.
