Abstract
This study analyzes Romantic period art with an emphasis on Hegel’s theory of the end of art. The primary objective is to examine and explain Hegel’s philosophical system and its influence on the understanding of Romantic art. By exploring the tripartite classification of the arts and its connection to truth and spirit, the study seeks to analyze the role of art in advancing human consciousness throughout history. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the research aims to establish a connection between art, religion, and philosophy, elucidating the transition of spirit from the sensible to the intelligible. The findings indicate that in the Romantic era, spirit tends to transcend sensory forms and move toward the intelligible. This process leads to the end of art as an absolute mode of manifestation. Additionally, from Heidegger’s perspective, art never dies and always remains in pursuit of the disclosure of truth. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of artistic and philosophical transformations throughout human history.
