The present research investigates the acoustic phonetics of the phonological process of consonant-to-consonant assimilation in the speech of Turkic speakers of the Ardabil dialect, which is one of the Azerbaijani Turkish dialects. The aim of this research is to examine the substituted phoneme(s) and their distinction from the original phoneme(s) in terms of their nature. For this purpose, acoustic phonetic analysis has been conducted in the domains of duration, sound intensity, first formant (F1), second formant (F2), and third formant (F3). To perform the acoustic phonetic analysis, six speakers were used with the help of Praat software. Acoustic phonetic examinations of each sound in assimilated contexts were carried out in syllable-final position, and the obtained features in the assimilated context were compared with the acoustic phonetic features of the same sounds in the non-assimilated context. The results indicate that the phonological process of consonant-to-consonant assimilation in the Ardabil dialect involves acoustic assimilation in the domains of duration, intensity, and the first, second, and third formants. Another issue examined in this research is the structural integration in the miniature painting of the Tabriz school and its characteristics.
