The arts of Gaberdouzi and Patedouzi are among the methods of adorning textile surfaces with a very long history. Their symbolic motifs, colors, and applications all signify the connection of these arts with prevalent beliefs and culture, ultimately brought to manifestation through vibrant needle and thread. This eloquent ancient art of adorning textiles among Iranians is connected with numerous visual elements such as motif and color, as well as culture, beliefs, and prevalent convictions. Identifying these can play a very valuable role in the packaging of cultural products and handicrafts, which appear to be fading into oblivion. Therefore, in this study, whose data was collected through observation and library-documentary methods, a descriptive-analytical approach has been adopted to introduce and recognize the visual characteristics present in the motifs of the Gaberdouzi and Patedouzi art of the Kerman region, and the relationship between the motifs, colors, and forms of Patedouzi and Gaberdouzi art has been explored. The results of the investigations revealed that the beliefs of the people and the region's climate held a special place in the formation of the motifs and colors of these two arts, considering the use of colorful fabrics and threads a kind of religious duty, and viewing happiness as divine and heavenly, and grief and sorrow as demonic. In this art, the artist strives, through the use of cheerful colors, to create an ideal image of nature with paradisiacal motifs, which, while protecting the product, has great potential in packaging artistic goods and creating high added value.
