Morphological analysis of literary works is one of the methods that provides a general framework for analyzing literary texts. It involves understanding the form and structure of a literary work and how these elements influence its content. In the field of narrative morphology, numerous scholars have proposed various models. Claude Bremond, a French structuralist linguist and narratologist, is one of the prominent figures who has made significant contributions in this area. This study aims to examine the novel Farangis based on Bremond's theory to demonstrate how the author constructs a coherent plot by combining different sequences and narrative units—sequential, embedded, and linked—to create an integrated narrative structure.
The findings indicate that Farangis consists of multiple narrative sequences and progressions that contribute to its structural cohesion. Similarly, in the context of Sacred Defense posters, morphological analysis can reveal thematic sequences and underlying motifs, reflecting an approach that artists, like writers and literary figures, employ in their works.
Research Objectives:
To conduct a morphological analysis of Farangis based on Claude Bremond’s theory.
To examine the thematic content of Sacred Defense posters.
Research Questions:
How does the morphological structure of Farangis align with Claude Bremond’s narrative schema?
What are the dominant themes in Sacred Defense posters?
