[English]

Art and literature play a major role in preserving values and expressing social desires and behaviors. Works of art and literature are influenced by social and cultural events that, if examined, will add to the richness of the explanations and achievements of such research. Belqis Soleimani is a realist writer who has used the novel as a platform for expressing many issues and social problems of women, and her works reflect on family relations and intergenerational challenges. Contemporary Iranian painting is tied to the background of the arrival of modern art in the first half of the twentieth century. So that the contemporaryization of Iranian painting can be sought from the arrival and spread of modern art. The content of these works is chosen from the heart of "everyday life", "social realities", "concerns and problems of individual life" and "psychological issues of human beings as members of society". The present study tries to point out the factors that cause this gap by relying on descriptive-analytical method. The results indicate that the most effective causes of generation gap in the novel "Those Mothers of These Girls" are individualism, identity crisis, the domination of modernity and the young generation's lack of interaction with the family due to the spread of mass media. The present article deals with how the gap between social concepts and values is reflected in the novels of the mothers of these girls and in contemporary Iranian paintings.
