Divining the future through stars or constellations has been one of the most mysterious issues since the creation of mankind . Despite all it's complexity and mystery, it has a deep Application in world culture, in a way that the functions of divination and astrology can be observed through out human life. In Iran too from the distant past, kings and heroes in order to do different things such as war or marriage or travel considered themselves obliged to think with expert astronomers and fortune tellers or interprete some future events that they dreamed of with the use of astronomer's knowledge. The interpretation of such dreams may have contained messages of joy and victory or misfortune. Astronomers and fortune tellers with instruments such as sand and astrolabe or zigzag observed the stars and constellations according to the position of the stars and the twelve towers Saad and Nahs determined the days. It was then reported to the king or ruler to find out if doing so would have a good or bad end. In this article the authors have tried to analyse the degree of conformity or similarity of astronomical categories in the verses of Ferdowsi Shahnameh and other Persian poets of the Islamic period. The results show that astronomers' have had a great impact on the life process of Iranians both before Islam and in the Islamic period. Perhaps many kings consulted with astronomers before doing vital matters and changed of their decisions by hearing predictions from these people.
